CGS Family Center

Every project has a story and our environmental design services for the CGS Family Center begins with our longstanding and successful relationship with Catholic Guardian Services – a human services, nonprofit organization, providing help to a large and needy population in the New York metropolitan area. Having collaborated with CGS over many years on brand assessment, identity and mission statements, social media marketing, program advertising, collateral communications and website design, FGI was asked to develop and create an interior look and style for CGS’ new family center in Bronx, NY. Our collective vision was to make a positive connection with the children, teenagers, adults and families served by the center and to create an environment that is welcoming, upbeat and nurturing.

Working closely with architects, engineers and interior designers, FGI designed, produced and installed large-scale, wraparound murals, inspired by the idea that friendly, colorful and optimistic imagery conveys a feeling of community, compassion and care. FGI transformed this 4,000 square foot space into a family center that supports CGS’ culture and goals and reflects the organization’s core principles and mission to provide help, create hope, and preserve dignity.
