Cirrata
FGI was engaged by Ambac Financial Group, a long-term client, to design a brand identity for Cirrata, the company’s insurance distribution division consisting of independently managed MGA/MGUs that underwrite specialty classes of risk within the property and casualty segment.
Branding is a large part of FGI’s design services. We understand the importance of bold, compelling and interesting symbols and messaging that grabs an audience’s attention in the marketplace. A corporate identity shapes how the public perceives a company, allowing it to differentiate itself from competitors, build brand recognition, attract customers, and ultimately contribute to ongoing business success.
Based on the company’s name Cirrata, a type of octopus, FGI’s design was inspired by the exceptional and impressive qualities of the octopus, such as the unique, multi-armed anatomy and its intelligence, flexibility, and ability to problem solve and adjust to challenging and changing environmental conditions. With that in mind, FGI created a stylized octopus-like brand identity and typographic treatment for Cirrata to align with the company’s distinctive characteristics that include a commitment to growth and advancing its specialized insurance businesses, diversity, scale, and culture of adaptation, purpose and leadership.
