Elon Musk’s Tesla Motors Inc. clearly expanded its sustainable energy footprint in 2016, as shareholders overwhelmingly approved the acquisition of SolarCity Corp. The deal, valued at $2.6 billion, integrated the maker of all-electric cars and batteries with the installer of rooftop solar panels.
FGI was asked to create a shareholder brochure, aimed at the retail investor, that would illustrate the vision the company has for its future – as a bigger, better, more efficient clean energy manufacturer and service provider, and truly integrated technology company focused on innovation and design. As a result of a company-wide shareholder campaign, more than 85 percent of Tesla’s shareholder votes were submitted in favor of the merger.
